Audra Philippy lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband and 2 children. She grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from James Madison University, in Harrisonburg VA. After graduating 1995 she had the urge to head to the west coast. In 1997 she visited Bend and fell in love with what was then a small mountain town. Shortly after moving to Bend she was lucky to meet a textile artist and art to wear designer. For 6 years she painted and printed yards of silks and other natural fabrics and helped create colorways for the seasons. This time was very influential in developing her understanding of colors and how they play off each other. She is currently working on custom boards with acrylic paints.
